Queer Sanctuary Foundation is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting, supporting, and empowering LGBTQ+ people worldwide. We focus in particular on vulnerable groups, including refugees and asylum seekers who are at risk of discrimination, persecution, or forced deportation. Our mission is to provide everyone with a safe place and a voice, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or background.
Our core activities include:
- Legal protection: providing professional legal assistance and advice to LGBTQ+ people in vulnerable situations.
- Shelter and support: facilitating temporary safe accommodation, psychosocial support, and a secure environment for vulnerable individuals.
- Policy advocacy: actively advising, lobbying, and publishing policy recommendations at local, national, and international levels to protect the rights of LGBTQ+ people.
- Community and events: organising meetings, workshops, networking events, and social activities where members of the community can connect, share experiences, and find support.
StopQueerDeportations
Our StopQueerDeportations campaign focuses specifically on opposing the deportation of LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers. Through this campaign, we raise awareness, provide legal support, and advocate for policies that protect people rather than deport them. StopQueerDeportations serves both as an action platform and as an international call for solidarity and protection.
